By using DarkDesireBooks.com, you’re agreeing to these terms. Pretty standard stuff. Everything on here – our articles, reading tools, book lists, trope guides – is just for you to use personally. To find your next read, to kill time, to get lost in a book. Not to scrape, copy, resell, or turn into your own site. If you keep browsing, we take that as a yes, you agree.

2. Mature Themes & Age Advisory

Let’s be real clear about this one. This is a dark romance site. The books we talk about contain explicit sexual content, violence, dub-con, obsession, and other taboo themes that are not for everyone.

You have to be 18+ or the legal adult age where you live to be here. We put content warnings and spice levels on our guides for a reason – please actually read them. If a book isn’t for you, skip it. No judgment, but we’re not responsible if you ignore the warnings.

3. Intellectual Property

Our writing is ours. All the original articles, reviews, trope breakdowns, quizzes, and the way our reading shelf tool works – that’s property of Dark Desire Books.

Book covers, titles, blurbs, and quotes? Those still belong to the authors and publishers. We’re just here to hype them up. Don’t take our stuff and republish it without asking us first at contact@darkdesirebooks.com.

4. Affiliate Links and Our Income

We’re an affiliate site and we’re honest about it. When you click on a link to Amazon, B&N, etc. and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission. It doesn’t change your price.

We try to keep all info accurate, but prices, availability, and book details can change fast on retailer sites. We can’t guaranty that everything will be 100% right all the time. Always double-check on the retailer before you buy.

5. How You Use The Site

Be cool. Don’t try to hack the site, spam our comments, scrape our lists, or use bots to pull our content. Don’t post anything illegal, hateful, or harassing in our comments or contact forms.
